Seattle:
Some Of Us Don't Wear Flannels.

Seattle is not all "Grunge". There are a lot of great Acid Jazz and Pop Rock bands. They tend to be very mellow but their music is nothing short of intense. The smooth rhythms of bands such as Critters Buggin, Sage, Like Like Feel, and Sky Cries Mary draw a following all their own.

The Chauffeur

I don't know much about this band. They opened a Sweetwater show at the Moe in Seattle, Wa.

Ondine

I first saw this band this summer at a Peace Concert. I must admit I was very impressed. I always try to catch Ondine concerts if I'm not shooting something else. Recently they were finalists in the Grammy Music Showcase.

Sage

Sage's sound is hard to describe. It's very calm, very mellow, laced with middle-eastern guitar and bass rifts. Sage puts tons of energy into their songs to make them sound perfect.

I highly recommend Sage's latest album, 7th Standard Rd.

I don't think I could say enough about this band, so I'll keep it short. They Rock! The talents of many great artists become one in SCM's blend of Industrial/Techno/Psychedelic. It's something to be heard! SCM shows combine their intensity of their music with a stunning visual performance that is beyond description. You'll just have to see them for yourselves. Sky Cries Mary's new album "Moonbathing on Sleeping Leaves" will be in stores nationwide starting Febuary 24th.

Super Sonic Soul Pimps

Their funkadellic rhythms and zany costumes make them a sure audience pleaser.

Here's the keyboardist looking a bit like Elton John.

I got to attend their most excellent CD Release Party. Here are my favorite shots from the show:
